Is Bedrock Truly Unbreakable? Three Methods to Destroy Bedrock in Minecraft! Veteran Players: “Brilliant!”

Fellow adventurers, want to know how to destroy the seemingly indestructible Bedrock? Today, I’ll introduce three hardcore methods. Grab your notepads and take careful notes~

01、The Tree-Growing Method

In Minecraft, bone meal can cause saplings to grow into trees rapidly. This method utilizes the moment a tree grows to destroy Bedrock.

First, create a two-by-two area of dirt above the Bedrock, as shown, and plant it with Dark Oak Saplings.

Then, use bone meal to accelerate the growth of these saplings.

Normally, these saplings will most likely grow into tall trees.

If they grow into tall trees, then break the single block of wood that is in contact with the dirt, replace it with another sapling, and use bone meal again. Repeat this until a short tree grows instead.

As you can see, this short tree is pressing right up against the Bedrock. Now, let’s mine the tree away and see what happens~

That’s right! The tree trunk has replaced the Bedrock’s position. These two Bedrock blocks were successfully pushed out by the growing tree!

02、Schrödinger’s Dragon Egg Method

You may have heard of Schrödinger’s Cat experiment. The process of our method is quite similar to that experiment~

First, as shown below, place a piston on the ground. Then, lay Redstone dust behind it, placing a Redstone Repeater at maximum delay every 12 blocks. Important: you must lay this circuit for at least 60 blocks. We need to be far away from the device. At the far end of the Redstone line, place a lever. Pull the lever to extend the piston, then place a Dragon Egg on the extended piston head.

Remember, the Redstone dust and repeaters must be laid at least 60 blocks away! The principle we are using here is chunk updating!

At this point, we are outside the chunk containing the piston and the Dragon Egg. We cannot detect how that chunk updates from here, so we don’t know whether the Dragon Egg is still on the piston or has fallen beneath it. Hence, we call it “Schrödinger’s Dragon Egg.”

Pull the lever to retract the piston, then run back. You’ll find that the Dragon Egg has broken the Bedrock and fallen into the void below!

03、Simple Dragon Egg Method

Many adventurers might say, “I finally dug down to the Bedrock layer, and now I have to clear out such a large area? Do I have too much free time, or do you? Is there a simpler method?!!”

Here it is! Using the same principle, we just change the setup. First, build a device as shown in the picture above. The white plate on top of the wooden fence is a pressure plate.

Then, similarly, leave this chunk-updating area. You can consider returning to the surface and running around elsewhere, away from this region.

Afterwards, return to the device. You’ll find that, just like the result of the second method, the Dragon Egg has fallen through again~

Among the three methods taught today, I find using saplings the most convenient. After all, saplings and bone meal are materials easily obtainable in everyday survival. If you want to break through Bedrock, using them is the way to go~
