How to Build an Auto-Repairing Wall in Minecraft (Bedrock Edition)

The villagers of Iron Bucket Village recently asked the editor for help because Creepers keep disturbing the village’s daily life, making the villagers miserable as they have to repair the walls every day.

To free the villagers from this annoyance, the editor specially designed an automatic wall repair system! Even if Creepers keep destroying it, the wall will automatically restore itself to its original state. Now, let’s take a look together!

Version: Bedrock Edition

First, dig a pit with dimensions of 8*6*3.

Place ordinary blocks and a piston in the area marked by the red line.

Then, dig one block down at the indicated position and place a bucket of water so it flows inside.

Place a bucket of lava on the right side. A “chemical reaction” will occur in the middle, producing a cobblestone block.

Next, dig a channel to place pistons (you can set the length freely, but do not exceed 12 blocks~).

To achieve automatic wall repair, place redstone dust, redstone repeaters, and redstone comparators as shown in the diagram.

Adjust the upper and lower comparators to the second and third positions respectively, and enable the subtract mode on the comparators.

Let’s see the preliminary effect—it can already push the cobblestone.

Place redstone dust and redstone repeaters at the indicated positions.

Now, the automatic repair of the wall is complete.

Let’s simulate a Creeper explosion.

The wall immediately begins repairing! No more worries about being blown up by Creepers!

02. Simple Hidden Door Section

Although the wall can now repair itself automatically, the controlling redstone circuit is unprotected and can easily be destroyed by explosive monsters. Therefore, we can build a hidden door to protect it.

First, place ordinary blocks and a redstone block as shown.

Then, place an activated sticky piston on top of the redstone block.

Next, place a piece of redstone dust and four redstone torches.

Place an ordinary block and an observer facing upward in the area marked by the red line.

Then, place four sticky pistons and obsidian. Obsidian can be replaced with other non-movable blocks.

Finally, place three ordinary blocks and a redstone torch.

Let’s test the effect—a small, simple hidden door is complete!

Applying this hidden door in practice will perfectly protect the redstone circuit of the wall~

Adventurers, if you have any ideas for improving the automatic wall repair system, feel free to share them with the editor!
