Minecraft offers various difficulties and game modes for players to choose from. But for some veteran players who have been playing for many years, even the hardest Hardcore mode struggles to satisfy them. After all, having played for so long, they know all the dangers and monsters like the back of their hand. So today, we’re bringing you a very interesting mod that increases the game’s difficulty immensely. Even if you’re a 7-year veteran, you might not be able to beat it.
Mod Introduction

The name of this mod is: One-Hit Kill and Warning. You can quickly find it by searching in the component center. It only supports version 1.12, and the author is the one we know well: Taoist Deep Lake.
One-Hit Kill

After adding this mod, Steve will defeat any creature he attacks in a single hit. You’ll probably feel happy when you first start the game because collecting food becomes incredibly fast.

However, once night falls, the danger increases exponentially. Because monsters also defeat Steve in one hit. Groups of zombies aren’t that scary, since you can take them out with one punch each. It’s the skeletons shooting arrows from behind that are truly annoying. They only need to shoot one arrow from a distance, and all your hard work for the day is wasted.

Besides monsters, players can also be one-shot by many other things, such as cacti, falling anvils, or falling from a great height. No matter what damage you take, it will kill you instantly.
Warning

But don’t retreat just yet. When we come into this world, we receive a Hostility Detector. It can also be crafted using a spider eye and an eye of ender.

When a creature nearby becomes hostile and wants to attack the player, the detector will start to alert you, allowing you to be prepared. So you no longer have to fear creepers sneaking up on you.

The initial Hostility Detector can only detect creatures within a 10-block range. You can combine two detectors to craft one with a +5 range, and you can upgrade it up to level 5, preventing monster attacks within a 30-block range.
