In Minecraft, there are hundreds of different-looking blocks that help players build and survive. But have you really paid close attention to these blocks? Some of them are quite special, hiding various interesting patterns that are hard to notice without careful observation. Let’s take a look together.
Dropper, Observer, Dispenser

Droppers, observers, and dispensers are all closely related to the redstone system, and surprisingly, they each have a cute face. The observer, in particular, looks incredibly adorable. It seems the designers really liked these three.
Glazed Terracotta

Among the glazed terracotta family, there are three blocks with eerie faces hidden within their patterns. The cyan glazed terracotta is the easiest to spot, while the blue and purple ones require viewing from a specific angle to be seen.
Chiseled Sandstone

Desert temples are the richest but also the most dangerous among the three main temple structures. Not only are there plenty of TNT threatening your life, but there’s also a group of hidden creepers watching you. Can you spot where they are?

That’s right, there’s a very distinct creeper face on chiseled sandstone. The creeper truly deserves its title as Minecraft’s mascot; you can find its image in all sorts of places.
Chiseled Red Sandstone

Minecraft has two boss mobs: the Ender Dragon and the Wither. Their biggest difference is that the Ender Dragon spawns naturally, while the Wither can only be summoned by players.

In the game, you can only find depictions of the Wither in two places: paintings and chiseled red sandstone. If you look closely at chiseled red sandstone, you can discover a simplified, line-art image of a Wither hidden within it.
Soul Sand

Soul sand is arguably the most eerie block in Minecraft. When you place it in the Overworld and walk on it, not only do you move slower, but the sky also darkens noticeably, as if the souls within the block are constantly pulling at you. If you observe it carefully, you’ll find that each face of soul sand actually contains three distorted faces. With six faces on a block, that adds up to a total of 18 human-like faces—truly terrifying.
